My interest in alternative medicine has intrigued me from a young age. While growing up, a friend of mine suffered from severe migraines. Despite traditional medical treatments, the only thing that alleviated the symptoms was Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment (OMT). The amazement of this ignited my passion to go to an Osteopathic medical school. I graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004 and completed my orthopedic surgery residency at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in 2009. I have been board certified since my earliest opportunity and have maintained my accreditation in good standing. I perform multiple types of surgeries including joint replacements, arthroscopies, nerve decompressions and repair torn tendons and broken bones. I have witnessed first-hand the power of herbal supplements in the aiding of pain relief, decreasing inflammation, wound healing, and even weight loss. As the number of patients successfully using herbals through my office increased, my interest and need for knowledge of alternative medicine grew. I enrolled in classes at Cornell and earned a certificate in Knowledge of Medicinal Plants. In the last few years, I expanded my scope of practice and currently serve as the medical director of a weight loss clinic, as well. Remaining up to date on herbal treatments is very important to me and will allow me to provide the best herbal blends and quality products available through Longevity Herbal.
